Japanese auto manufacturer, Honda, increased their air bag recall on Thursday after a Malaysian driver died in an air bag related accident earlier this year
Honda, which is reporting record numbers of recalls has recently called for the recall of 70,979 more cars. It is recalling 22,607 of its Fit Aria subcompact and 48,190 of its That’s model.
The company reports that the air bags, produced by Takata Corp., are equipped with faulty inflators. This causes the possibility for the airbag to explode at any second sending shrapnel towards the driver and passengers.
